It was opened in September 2008 and is housed in a carefully renovated neoclassical building, from 1886, in the centre of Soufli. The building itself is unusual and unique. There are heavy iron doors and shutters, and many rooms are painted with colorful paintings.

All exhibits presented in the museum relate to the production of silk and are in good condition. That is, visitors can see firsthand how silk was obtained, starting from the cocoon stage and ending with the production of silk fabric.

In addition, there are still interesting video demonstrations and a guide who will talk about all the subtleties and nuances of obtaining silk products.
