National Museum of History

Stadiou 13, Athina

About the company:

Since 1960, the National Museum of History in Athens is located in the building of the old parliament, which was designed by architect François Boulanger.

The entrance to the building is made in antique style, and all visitors to the museum are greeted by a statue of General Theodoros Kolokotronis.

The museum’s collection is based on exhibits that were collected by the Historical and Ethnological Society of Greece in the late 19th century. The main part of the collection is located in the corridors of the building and tells about the formation of the Greek state since the 15th century. The main halls of the building are used for various conferences and seminars on Greek history.
