Our first stop will be at Lake Kournas, which is the only freshwater lake in Crete. In ancient times it was called Coressia and here was the sanctuary of Athena of Coressia.
The nature surrounding the lake is remarkable: the vegetation here is lush, there are a lot of shrubs, reeds, many oilseed trees.
At the lake stretches a white strip of sand, where you can enjoy the sun, sitting in one of the local taverns.
And you are waiting for turtles, ducks and wild geese, which can be reached by catamaran.
Further, our way lies to Elafonisi, which for its perfect beaches and amazing wildlife is called Paradise on Earth. This is one of the most famous and impressive areas of the island, which is connected to the land by a shoal length of 800 m, easily overcome in quiet weather.
On Elafonisi beach you will find pink sand, calm sea and beautiful landscapes.
We will finish our journey on the beautiful beaches with a clean azure sea and a magnificent sandy coast in Falasarna.
We will have unlimited time for swimming, for lunch, for catamarans.
