Agia Irini Gorge is a place that is definitely worth visiting for tourists traveling around the island.
This canyon begins with a small village on the western slope of the White Mountains and follows in the direction of the village of Suya. The canyon is 7.5 kilometers deep. Incredibly beautiful place, will amaze you with majestic rocks. Slender tall trees, interesting representatives of flora and fauna, changing height with stairs. However, there are almost no difficult climbs. There are markings on every kilometer, there are places for recreation, where there are sources of drinking water and toilets.
The main part of the gorge is in the shade. Therefore, even on a hot summer day, you will not experience inconvenience. During the flooding of rivers you can find small waterfalls here. At the end of the route to Suya there are taverns, cafes and a wonderful beach with pebbles, where perfectly clear water.
To see this wonderful place, you first need to get by ferry to the village, and then by bus to the entrance to the gorge.
