El Greco Park
Description:
Heraklion is the birthplace of artist Domenikos Theotokopoulos, better known as El Greco. The park in the center of Heraklion bears his name. El Greco Park is located near the Morosini Fountain, St. Mark’s Basilica and the Venice Loggia.
The park is small, but is a salvation in hot weather for tourists and citizens who are languishing from the heat, who are happy to stand under the shade of trees.
