Monument to Eleftherios Venizelos
Description:
On one of the bastions of the Venetian defenses of Heraklion stands a monument to Eleftherios Venicelos, the leader of the uprising in 1905, who later became Greek Prime Minister and won the independence of Crete.
From here there is a beautiful view of the seaport of Heraklion, which is somewhat far from this place.
