Freedom Square in Heraklion
Description:
Freedom Square (Elephtheria) in Heraklion is primarily the main square of the city. From here you can get to all parts of the city, the benefit here transport runs like a clock. The square is on an elevation, due to the fact that it is the top point of the Venetian fortresses.
From the square close to the Venetian fountain, the Archaeological Museum is in two steps. The square is decorated with beautiful trees, but disfigured by incomprehensible lamps that spoil the view of the heart of the city rather than illuminate.
