Lutra Luthrakiu Hydrotherapy Hospital in Aridea

Description:

As soon as tourists who visited this magnificent northern corner of Greece do not call them "Garden of Eden", "Greek Alps", etc.
This is a truly fabulous place: the indescribable beauty of the mountain with clean air and crystal water of mountain streams. The most demanding traveler will be impressed by the rich vegetation, waterfalls and dizzying gorge stretching for 15 km along the river. Mysterious stalagmite caves - a unique monument of nature! In 1989, a geological expedition discovered 15 caves with rare rock paintings, clay shards of the stone age (4000 BC), animal remains, in particular the bear URSUS SPELEAUS, fossilized corals CYCLOSERIS (70-140 million years), coins, etc. The most valuable find is a human skeleton found at a depth of 50 meters, the age of which scientists are difficult to determine. In the middle of the green forest, through which the river Thermopotamos flows (Greek: warm river), at an altitude of 360-390 m above sea level, the Hydromedical Hospital LUTRA LUTRAKIU is built. The history of Hydromedical Hospital goes back centuries. Man could not but take advantage of this wonderful gift of nature.
