One of the main attractions of the island of Naxos is the beautiful Venetian Museum, located in the building of an ancient mansion that was built in the early 13th century and previously belonged to the Della Rocca family. Entering the museum, you will be transported to the Venetian period on the island of Naxos. The duration of the tour is about 45 minutes, during which you can explore the whole house - rooms, library, dining room, offices and vaults. The museum presents an exclusive collection of furniture, dishes, paintings, as well as various household utensils. In the local cellar you can take part in wine tasting and visit classical music concerts. Every year, the Venice Museum hosts the festival “DOMUS”, which reveals the talents of local youth.
In the Venetian Museum it is allowed to photograph and shoot on a video camera. Here you can enjoy the authentic interior of the 13th-14th centuries, take a lot of good pictures, and then head to a small souvenir shop. Here for a small amount you can buy authentic Venetian ceramics and many other interesting things.
