Historical quest investigation: Sultan Suleiman's spy case
Description:
Based on the true events of the siege of Rhodes by Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent in 1522, the historical quest investigation invites you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Middle Ages and uncover the mystery of one of the most mysterious criminal cases in the history of the island - the case of betrayal.
During the six-month siege, the Knights of the Order of John of Jerusalem heroically defended Rhodes with the support of local residents. The sultan was ready to lift the siege, but suddenly received secret information radically changed the course of events. Suleiman remained on the island until complete victory, and the cause of the fracture was a leak of data from inside the order.
As a result of an internal investigation, the Chancellor of the Order and his servant were accused of treason. Both were sentenced to death. But was the Chancellor really guilty? Or was he a victim of political intrigue, power struggles and behind-the-scenes games? Could it have been someone else who was interested in the fall of Rhodes?
Direct evidence of the Chancellor’s guilt was not presented to the court – the prosecution was based mainly on testimony, city rumors and statements of interested persons. The participants of the quest will collect evidence, analyze facts, compare testimony and restore the true picture of what happened in order to rehabilitate the Chancellor and return him to his good name.
The quest is an interactive game form of studying the history of Rhodes, the Order of John and at the same time introduces participants to the principles of criminal justice. All characters and key events are based on historical sources, and the script, the structure of the quest and tasks are copyright intellectual property and protected by copyright and related rights law, which is confirmed by the relevant certificate.
