Lindos - the magic of the ages

Lindos is the most charming and picturesque village.

It has preserved its traditional flavor and spirit of different eras of antiquity. In those days, it was the richest city-state of the island, now, the features of the landscape distinguish Lindos among other attractions, which is reflected in the admiring views of all guests of the city.

LINDOS:

The true decoration is the Acropolis of Athena Lindska, to which the labyrinths of trails lead and along which our walk will take place. I will talk about the greatness of this city and its contribution to the development of the ancient world. We will walk through the narrow mosaic streets, past the magnificent captain’s houses, dozens of cafes and taverns, see the tomb of the sage of antiquity and in parallel, I will make a small photo shoot as a gift. At the end, we can sit over a cup of Greek coffee and talk about the modern life of the Hellenes or you will have free time to visit the Acropolis on your own (entrance ticket 12 euros).

During this walk, we will also visit the family pottery workshop. Artificial masters right in front of us will create one of the unique works of art, which since ancient times were highly valued, and our little guests, I suggest to show their abilities and paint some of the products. This is where you will find your talent for painting.

OIL BAKEY:

Our wonderful trip will end with a visit to the oil mill. I will tell you and show you the process of making oil, which has been used since ancient times; at the local olive museums we will taste olive paste, olives and oil both in its pure form, with different types of olives, and with various additives. Children will be very interested to hear the myth of Aristaeus, learn who was the first beekeeper in ancient Greece and what role bees play in modern life. I will also reveal the secret of Greek honey! Olive jam, a variety of honey, natural cosmetics based on olive oil and the divine drink of Dionysus are the very gifts of the island that are usually purchased here as a gift.
