Santorini Beach
Description:
No trip to the sea will leave you with pleasant impressions if the beach on which you rest was dirty, noisy or simply unsuitable for recreation. We make every effort to ensure that your holiday in Santorini was unforgettable, and acquaintance with the island brought only positive emotions. Every beach on the island is a great attraction. A powerful volcanic eruption in the 15th century BC transformed the landscape of Santorini and covered it with ash. The coastline here is bizarre and colorful. Thanks to the unique volcanic rocks of the island, the beaches here are not only golden in color, but also other, no less attractive shades.
Here is a list of the most popular beaches in Santorini:
Kamari is a popular resort with numerous shops, taverns and other objects of modern infrastructure. You can get here by bus from the capital of the island. Above the beach proudly rises Mount Mesa Vuno (Inner Mountain in Russian), on top of the mountain are the ruins of an ancient settlement. From here opens a beautiful panorama of the sea and surroundings.
A series of beaches with black volcanic sand Perissa, Perivolos, Agios Georgios (St. George). They all move smoothly into one another. You can use the services of a diving center here and even order food directly to the beach. At night, there are performances of popular DJs and discos with celebrities. You can often see a wedding ceremony on these beaches.
Vlihada is a beach with black sand. The local landscape is complemented by two pipes left after the brick factory. The private yachts of the Sailing & Yachting Center are anchored in the beach bay.
In the north of Santorini near the village of Oia is Ammoudi beach, which is famous for its clear water and is perfect for diving. There are 260 steps to the beach. On the opposite side of the island from Ammoudi is the excellent Paradisos Beach (Paradise Beach).
You should also pay attention to the beach with red cliffs of Pori, more suitable for lovers of “wild” holidays and the beach of Vourvulos, which usually does not have tourists.
White Beach (Aspri Paralia) is a wonderful quiet place to relax surrounded by limestone cliffs.
Red Beach (Kokini Paralia) is located near the archaeological site of the ancient Minoan city of Akrotiri. The beach is surrounded by brick-red cliffs, everywhere there is red pebbles mixed with black. During strong gusts of wind, the entire beach is covered with the smallest red grains of sand. You can get here in two ways: by sea by boat or slowly descend between the stones from the place where cars park. It's always quite crowded. You can rent a chair and an umbrella.
Monolithos. It is located near the airport of the island. It is very well equipped and perfect for relaxing with children due to the shallow sea. Resting on this beach, you can watch the planes that take off or land.
