It was time we realized that we wanted to share with others the joy of visiting holy places. Santorini is said to have more churches than houses. There are more than 600 churches on the island, 25% of which are Catholic churches. Some of the churches are completely white and some are ochre-colored. Most churches on the island usually have domes and two belfry on the facade similar to the old style of cathedrals. The domes are painted in bright white or light blue, and sometimes have a light azure shade.
