The modern Olympic Games were revived in 1896 in Athens, and since then, every four years on the altar of the ancient temple of Hera, the Olympic flame is lit from the rays of the sun, which is transferred to Athens by a sports relay to the Panathenaic White Marble Stadium, where the ceremony of transferring the Olympic flame to the country of the next Olympics is held.
