Thessaloniki

Thessalonica! Or yours, Thessaloniki

Description:

This is an easy, sightseeing tour, which usually guests combine with shopping or free time, during which you can drink a cup of Greek coffee or just have lunch in the waterfront tavern. You can walk, there are many historical monuments of different eras and periods in the city that will fascinate you, and you will not notice how time will fly by.

Thessaloniki is a multifaceted city and it opens to each of the guests in different ways. We are also all different, someone needs more free time for shopping, and someone for museums, and someone is not averse to 3-3.30 hours to sit in a tavern, eat tasty, drink a glass, other wine and admire the sea on the contrary. And others want not only to see the sights of the city, but also to get in touch with the shrines of Orthodoxy, to pray longer, to attach themselves to the holy relics. Therefore, I offer 2 excursions, which differ not only in content, but also in hourly volume.

We will begin our acquaintance with the city - in the Acropolis of the city. Then we will visit Vlatadon Monastery (UNESCO), we will weave through the streets of the old city, we will go down to St. Nicholas. Dimitria (UNESCO), come to the Roman Forum, visit the oldest icon-painting shop in the city, where you will receive not only admiration and surprise from what you saw, but also a gift to each of you for a long memory of this day. By car we will drive through the main streets and squares of the city, stop at the White Tower, our symbol of the city. There, just to the side, you will see 2 of the most popular monuments: this is Alexander the Great and of course, everyone’s favorite umbrellas. This is how our 3.30-4 hours will fly and we will say goodbye, after which you will go to drink our Greek coffee or our patented coffee frape!

It is also possible to visit the Archaeological or Byzantine Museum, or any other objects for an additional fee.

Thessaloniki-

The second largest city in Greece and the capital of Central Macedonia. Today it is the cultural capital of the country: the city is known for its festivals and events. In addition, it is also a city with more than 3000 years of history, where the imprints of the Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman empires, as well as the Jewish population that once dominated here, are preserved. The old city center, located north of the modern center, was miraculously unaffected by the great fire of 1917. It is now on the UNESCO World Heritage List. In the 90s, 20th century Thessaloniki was awarded the title of European Capital of Culture.
