Church of Panagia Halkeon

Panagia Chalkeon Church is built of red brick. Above it is decorated with arches and semi-columns.
The perimeter of the church is a marble cornice that separates the sections.
There are murals inside the church. The altar is decorated with such frescoes: “Last Supper”, “Dormition of the Virgin”, “Christmas”, “Creation”.
On the nave there is a fresco “Second Coming”.
The church dome is supported by the capitals of the columns - they are decorated with crosses and bas-reliefs with patterns.
The dome of the temple is 5.5 m high and 3.8 m wide.
The church can be reached on foot in 15 minutes from Aristotle Square.
Near the church there is a stop to which buses No. 22, 23, 50 go.
