Agia Irini Beach

Ia, Santorini, Santorini, South Aegean Islands, Egeo, Greece

Description:

In the southeastern part of the island of Crete is a small village of Agia Irini, which has a small beach bearing the same name. It is located at the end of the gorge and attracts tourists.

The pebble beach is quite secluded, so it is chosen by lovers of romantic solitude. The water is calm and crystal clear. Along the beach grow evergreen trees, in the shade of which you can hide from the scorching sun. There are also caves interesting for their history.

The infrastructure is not developed, there are no usual shops and water attractions. Wild cliffs and pristine nature emphasize the beauty of the beach.

Getting here isn't easy. You can arrive by car on a dirt road from Hametulo or Kalo Horio, and then walk the gorge. Another option is to travel by boat.
