Vashlovani National Park

Georgia, Yevlakh-Zakatala

Description:

Vashlovani National Park is located in the driest and most waterless area in all of Georgia, although the local climate is warm and dry.

A national reserve with pomegranate and pistachio forests, as well as with local residents of bears, lynxes and even hyenas, will not leave indifferent neither adults nor children.

In addition to predators, you can find quite harmless animals, such as a hedgehog and a hare, but, of course, there are many wild wolves, jackals, wild boars. Biologists will be able to evaluate more than 600 species of plants that grow in their natural environment.

Notable is the local relief, which from the endless steppe turns into steep slopes leading to rocks and gorges.

If you visit Vashlovani National Park in spring, you can see two salty springs, but by summer they dry up due to the peculiarities of the climate.
