Underground Kingdom of Prometheus + Okatse Canyon at a height of bird flight

We will go to one of the longest karst caves in Europe - Prometheus Cave. The cave was first discovered by an expedition of speleologists led by Jumber Dzhishkariani in 1984. The cave was later called Prometheus Cave.

Amirani - the hero of Georgian myth and epic, the prototype of Prometheus, was chained to a rock in the cave of the Caucasus Mountains.

Walking through the cave, enjoying the air and beauty of stalactites, stalagmites, stalagnates, you will go to different halls.

The love hall where I will show you the profiles of lovers - Amirani and Kamari (Amiran kidnapped the heavenly virgin Kamari, probably personifying the heavenly fire).

In the oldest version of the legend, Amirani received his power in infancy in the water of a magical spring. At the end of the cave, you will have the chance to take a boat ride along an underground river, in which the hero’s power may have been hidden.

After leaving the underground kingdom of Prometheus (Amiran), we will go to the highlands of Imereti. Okatse Canyon is waiting for you. Okatse is the name of the river that originates on the slopes of the Askhi plateau, located at the height of the alpine meadows and flows into Tskhenistskali. A two-kilometer trail (optional: drive a local jeep or walk) will lead you to a suspended metal structure, along which you can walk over the canyon to the observation deck. At the height of bird flight - the views are simply amazing.

The next point is the village of Kinchha, famous for the baths of Prince Dadiani, part of the white stone canyon and the Okatse waterfalls. Among the small waterfalls, there is a waterfall about 70 meters high and a more powerful stream, about 40 meters high.

Here you can use the zipline services. Flying over the waterfall and truly spectacular views you will remember for a long time.

The bonus of the day is the production of Georgian sweets. I'm going to show you the process of making churchkhela, pastiles, dried fruits. On the spot you can taste sweets, and of course buy them.
