Martville canyons

In Georgia, there are many unique places where you realize the incredible creative power of nature and time, Martvili Canyons is one of such natural wonders, a masterpiece of nature Samegrelo.
Even many locals do not know about the existence of this amazing place, it is reliably hidden from prying eyes in the shade of centuries-old trees. In past centuries, there were royal natural baths. Visiting the canyons will be rewarded with unforgettable experiences, especially for nature lovers, and a boat trip along the canyon to the waterfalls will be a real adventure and generously give on a hot day the life-giving power of coolness and freshness.
The canyons are located north of Martvili, so this route includes acquaintance with this town, where the ancient monastery complex is located, consisting of the main temple of the VII - X centuries, the church of Mtsire Chikvani (X century) and the pillar (XI century).
We will also visit Salkhino – one of the cult places in Samegrelo, once the summer residence of the Dadiani princes was located here; to this day there is a temple of the XVII century and a small wine storage (marani) of the XIX century.
