Winter travel: "From Tbilisi to Gudauri" and "From Gudauri to Tbilisi"

Dream all year about winter holidays in the mountains, patiently wait for this event, and here you are in Gudauri! I just want time to stop... Day, second, third... It is time to take a break and make a trip to Tbilisi!

The ski resort of Gudauri is located on the border of two areas: Khevi (center of Kazbegi) and Mtiuleti (center of Pasanauri), where we begin our journey. This section of the Georgian Military Road is a dizzying serpentine over the beautiful gorge of the Aragvi River.

From Shadrevan (fountain) opens a view of the village of Mleta. Every summer, people flock here from all over Georgia for the Lomisoba holiday.

Quecheti. In 1829, Alexander Pushkin, on the way to Tiflis, spent the night in this village and wonderful lines were born: "On the hills of Georgia lies the night mist, Shumit Aragva before me ..." I am sad and easy, my sorrow is bright, my sorrow is full of you.

Pasanauri. Here are the most delicious khinkali in Georgia, and the merger of White and Black Aragvi is an amazing sight!

Mtskheta, the ancient, first capital of Georgia. Here is the source of Christianity in Georgia, from here the Georgian people draw spiritual strength, here the shrines of the Georgian land are the temples of Svetitskhoveli, Samtavro, Jvari.

Tbilisi. This is an amazing city - ancient and modern are intertwined here: old curved streets and beautiful wide avenues, an ancient fortress, temples and ultramodern high-tech buildings. And before the New Year, the city was decorated with sparkling illumination!
