On this trip you will visit several historical sites mentioned by them in Iberia (Eastern Georgia).
We will start the tour from Mount Bagineti, where the residences of the ruling class and priests of then Iberia were located. There was a great idol of the god Armazi. Then we will move to Mtskheta and see what has been preserved there since antiquity. Roman akldama, remains of buildings of the period of the Roman conquest, Samtavra burial grounds. Further, our way lies in Dzalisa, a village where the remains of Roman baths and pools are preserved, as well as a Greek mosaic on the floor of one pool. The next point of our trip is the open-air archaeological museum-Gracliani. The finds found here by archaeologists have deepened knowledge about the history of Georgia deep into the centuries. From here we go to the cave city of Uplistsikhe, carved in the slope of Mount Kvernaki in the II millennium BC. Before the adoption of Christianity by Iberia, Uplistsikhe was the religious center of Iberia. And we conclude our tour in the pagan temple of Tsikheagoras. Built in the IV-III centuries BC, it was a temple of the Sun, after the Persians turned it into a temple of fire of the Mazdaites.
