Legacy of Anaseuli and Ozurgeti

Next, our way lies in Anaseuli – a place where the history of Georgian tea comes to life. Here are preserved the old buildings of the research center and university, which remind of the former greatness of Georgian tea throughout the Soviet Union. You will see almost wild plantations and a renovated old factory that preserves the zeitgeist. We will also be able to look at the Anaseuli vodka plant and walk through the former arboretum.

Then we will visit the Ozurget Tea Factory, located on the territory of the old silk factory. Here you will learn about how modern unique varieties of tea were born from the Soviet past, including Kvevri tea, which you will not find anywhere else in the world.
