Tour of the city of Mtskheta

Mtskheta is an ancient city and the ancient capital of Georgia, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The city is located on the banks of Kura and Aragvi. The confluence of two rivers inspired Lermontov to compose the poem Mtsyri. During the tour we will also visit the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral – the tomb of the royal dynasty of Georgia Bagrationi.
Mtskheta is considered a holy city; it is often called a small Jerusalem from the fact that according to legend, the Lord’s Robe is kept in it.
