Georgian holidays

Description:

In Georgia, they can walk and have fun like nowhere else. Here they celebrate the New Year and Easter, but also a lot of their colorful holidays - Bedoba, Bericaoba, Lomisoba, Quiricoba, Motsametoba, Rtveli, Chiaconoba and many others. It sounds strange, but I want to sing from some names! And you can imagine how they go.

Some of these holidays are hardly celebrated anymore. Unfortunately, the tradition of the spring carnival of Bericaoba is lost. I will tell you how brightly celebrated Berikaoba in Tbilisi in the XIX century. Some are celebrated locally, in some cities or towns, such as Lomisoba in the town of Mleta, and some celebrate the whole country - such a holiday can be called Giorgoba, you probably guessed that this is the day of St. George, the heavenly patron of Georgia.

This tour can be conducted anywhere in Georgia and depends on the season. For example, in winter we will talk about winter traditions, and so on for each season. If you are lucky, and everything coincides in time, then you can take part in the celebration, for example, Rtveli. It's grape harvesting. Occurs in September-early October, depending on the terrain and the vineyard, as the winemakers say - "wine itself tells you when to collect it." Or maybe you will be in Adjara in the tangerine season (December), and we will go to pick tangerines and cook jam. If you want to attend any holiday or see any event - be sure to write about it in the comment to the application.
