The Georgian Celestial... Zekari Pass
Description:
Dear guests of our country, I would like to inform you that my team and I are launching several new routes in Georgia in 2018. This will be a cycle of excursions called the Georgian Celestial Empire, which will primarily interest lovers of mobile recreation.
Not so long ago, we had the idea to create routes for those who want to touch the wildlife of the mountains at the same time without leaving their comfort zone. These will be trips both on absolutely wild and rather landscaped mountain roads and passes on convenient SUVs. The programs will be presented in the form of 1-2 day excursions with departure from two large cities of Georgia - Tbilisi and Kutaisi. You can choose any of them at your discretion.
The first route we want to provide our guests with is a trip along the wild Zekari Pass, whose height is about 2200 meters above sea level. This unpaved road, which is used mainly by a limited number of local residents, crosses the Lesser Caucasus Range and connects the two most famous Georgian resorts of Sairme and Abastumani. The price for the tour will be indicated in the one-day version with an early departure from Tbilisi and a late return to the capital. It’s possible, but tedious... a more comfortable option is of course a 2-day excursion.
The route is as follows: Tbilisi - Borjomi (travel) - Akhaltsikhe (travel) - Abastumani (lunch in the trout farm) - Zekari Pass - Kurort Sairme (tasting of mineral waters) - Tbilisi.
The price includes:
