Tbilisi – group tour of Wednesdays and Friday n

A walking tour of old Tbilisi is the best way to get to know the capital and the inner world of our city. The way will start with your hotel and pave to the first place of the foundation of the city - the area of sulfur baths. The most exciting place of the city, where many cultures, confessions, architectural styles mix. All this can be seen on a small piece of land. Climb the cable car to the fortress of Narikala (the city fortress of the 4th century), it was built here long before the foundation of the city. Its first name, "Kala Fortress", was destroyed many times, used as a fortification, reserve and many times was taken by enemies. Metekhi (the place where the royal palaces were located), Fig Gorge is a favorite place for guests of the city in the sultry heat, a waterfall, the streets of the old city, the Sioni Temple in which A. Griboyedov and Nina Chavchavadze were married, where the cross of St. George is still kept. Nino, the temple of the Anchi icon (non-created icon of Christ), will finish our tour near the puppet theater Rezo Gabriadze. A walk around the city gives a basic concept of the history and traditions of the ancient city of Tbilisi.
