Description:
Algetsk gorge is located a few kilometers from the city of Tbilisi, in the Algetsky Reserve. The gorge is included in the top of the most popular tourist places. The exact date of occurrence has not been established until now, but it is known that in the middle of the 20th century near the gorge traces of burials dating back to about the 6-7th century were found.
The Algeta Gorge is rich in various types of flora and fauna, which especially attracts photographers from all over the world. All the inhabitants of the gorge have been under government protection since 1965, when the site was granted the status of a nature reserve.
You can get to the gorge by car or by bus from the city of Tbilisi, reaching the village of Manglisi. The journey will take no more than 2 hours.
