Kumisi Lake

Not far from the capital in the east direction stretched Lake Kumisi. This is an artificial pond, but locals and tourists have already managed to love this place of rest and swimming. The lake is filled with water through an artificial channel from the Algeti River. The bottom of the lake contains sulfide silt mud, which has healing properties and is used in balneological resorts. Several hospitals and centers are built right on the shore of the lake. The surface area of the reservoir is five square kilometers, a depth of up to four meters in some places.

Fans of fishing will also be satisfied - different fish are found in the lake (carp, white Cupid, temples, etc.). In the vicinity there are cottages and cottages. You can get to the lake by car or taxi from Tbilisi.
