Lake Paliastomi

Lake Paliastomi in Georgia (Tbilisi) is a shallow relict residual-lagoon reservoir of the Black Sea coast, located on the territory of the Colchis lowland, in the border zone of Samegrelo-Upper Svaneti and Guria. It is on the shore of this natural estuary that the city of Poti is located with the largest port on the east coast.

In the shallow bay of Paliastomi flow river waters Fechora and Kaparcha. The climatic conditions here are subtropical, so even in winter the water in the lake does not freeze, which is especially important for connoisseurs of fishing and rare birds. Coordinates of the lake: 42°7'11"N,41°43'48"E.
