We will go to breathe delicious clean air and admire the grandeur of the mountains to one of the highest points of the Caucasus, Mount Kazbek (height - 5033 meters) along the famous Georgian Military Road, running through the picturesque mountain landscape of the Caucasus. This is one of the most beautiful roads in the Caucasus, and in general in the world! This is not just a 208-kilometre long track. On the minivan, we will climb to a height of 2200 meters to the Gergeti temple. A. S. Pushkin wrote about this temple - "... white ragged clouds were pulled over the top of the mountain, and the secluded monastery, illuminated by the rays of the sun, seemed to float in the air, carried by clouds."

Consider from a height above a bird’s flight the Caucasian ridge and charge from the majestic mountain / volcano Kazbek.

Back to Tbilisi.

Day 3

We will go to the wine region of Georgia - Kakheti.

Here you will learn the taste of this noble Georgian wine!

Archaeological research proves that the traditions of Georgian winemaking originated 7 thousand years ago. It is believed that the word "wine" comes from the Georgian word "guino".

Let's take a walk around Signaghi. This small town is called the city of love. Its narrow cobbled streets are soaked in coziness and warmth.

Signaghi is located on the top of a hill and is surrounded by a fortress wall built by King Heraclius II in the 18th century. From the walls of the city there are stunning views of the Alazan Valley.

And, by the way, there is a round-the-clock registry office and you can arrange an unplanned wedding ceremony;

We will look into the estate of Prince Chavchavadze and the summer residence of the Russian emperors Tsinandali. Today there is a house – a museum, a large park with rare plants and an ancient wine cellar.

And, the long-awaited tour with tasting at the winery Kindzmarauli!

We will end the day with a traditional Georgian feast with a male polyphony in the Kakheti family.

Back to Tbilisi.

Day 4

Let's go to the old town of Mtskheta. We'll take a walk in Uplistsikhe and Rabati.

The city is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Mtskheta is the ancient capital of Georgia and a holy place for every Georgian. The city is called the “Second Jerusalem”. It was here that St. Nino brought the good news and here one of the greatest shrines of the Christian world – the Heaton of the Lord is kept. Christian pilgrims and tourists from all over the world flock here.

We will visit the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral - this is the main cathedral of Georgia, in which the Heaton of the Lord is kept. We will visit the monastery of Samtavro and climb to the top of the mountain to the temple of Jvari, from which you can see the confluence of the two rivers Aragvi and Kura. It is about this amazing place wrote in his poem “Mtsyri” M. Lermontov.

Then we head to the most ancient cave city of Uplistsikhe.

“Fortress of God” is literally translated from the Georgian language of the cave city of Uplistsikhe.

Most of its dwellings and streets are located directly in the thickness of volcanic rocks.

It is assumed that it was formed around 1000 BC, and finally deserted only in the XIX century!

We will arrive in Akhaltsikhe and walk through the night fortress of Rabati after a busy day and before a sweet sleep in a mountainous country.

Day 5

We will be amazed at the scale of the cave city of Vardzia.

We will walk through the grand cave city of Vardzia, which consists of about 600 caves of natural and artificial origin and stretches about a kilometer and has eight “floors”. Vardzia was an “invisible city.”
