Bara Din (Christmas)

Christmas candlesChristmas is a Christian holiday celebrated on December 25. It is one of the most important festivals of Indian Christians. Banana and mango trees are decorated instead of traditional pine trees, they also hang small oil bulbs. Churches are decorated with red flowers and candles.

On this day, people exchange congratulations and good wishes, pay visits to relatives and friends, present gifts, give money to the poor. Midnight Masses are held in cathedrals, Christmas services are held in churches. Christmas hymns are heard on the streets and in houses.
