Fort St. George

In the south of India is one of the oldest cities - Chennai. In the center is the oldest building of the city - the Fort of St. George. The construction of the first station, which was outside the walls of the fortifications, was completed on April 23, 1640, the day of St. George. George, therefore, the fort was named after this saint. Currently, the administrative authorities of the state of Tamil Nadu are located here, therefore, they do not allow excursions. However, it is worth looking at the ancient structure, combining classical facades, black columns and English style.
