Temple of Brahma Karambolim
Nagargoan to Shelpem, Carambolim Brama, Goa, India
Description:
The temple of Brahma Karambolim, located in the village of Satari in the Indian state of Goa, about 2 kilometers southwest of the village of Karambolin, is dedicated to the Indian god Brahma – the god of creation, who enters with the gods Vishnu and Shiva in Trimurti – the union of the three main Hindu deities into a single whole.
The temple was built in the fifth century in a dense forest and is considered one of the few temples in the country dedicated to the god Brahma. The main attraction of the temple, which is a stone-carved building with decorations throughout the facade depicting Hindu gods and goddesses, is considered one of the best images of Brahma in the world.
