Ganesh Temple
Description:
Ganesh Temple is considered one of the main shrines of India. It is located near the village of Redi. This place is honored by locals and believers who come here from all over the world.
The temple of Ganesh has a rather interesting history. According to legend, on April 18, 1976, on the site where the temple is now located, a truck driver parked his car and fell asleep. In a dream, the god Ganesh appeared to the man, who told him to dig at this place. He became a believer and unconditionally fulfilled the request of the saint. To the surprise of the locals, the man found a two-handed idol of Ganesh, made of solid stone. This happened on May 1, 1976.
After this significant event, the village council decided to build a temple dedicated to the god Ganesh on this site. A few days later, residents unearthed another sacred object - the figure of a rat, which is considered in India the sled animal of the god Ganesh. Later, the stone statue of the god was restored and repainted.
Near the temple there are shopping tents where tourists can buy small sets of coconut, bananas and a flower. They are usually used as an offering to the god Ganesh.
