Shantadurga Temple
Description:
The Indian temple of Shantadurga was erected on Goa surrounded by mountains covered with bright thick greenery. The temple complex consists of the main temple and three small ones dedicated to different deities. According to legend, the temple is dedicated to the companion of the god Shiva - Parvati.
The buildings are painted in a bright terracotta color, with a pagoda-shaped roof topped with a golden dome. The entrance to the temple is decorated with columns and a statue depicting Parvati, which holds two snakes (a symbol of the warring Shiva and Vishnu).
