Periyara Tiger Reserve
Description:
The Periyar Tiger Reserve is located in the Indian state of Kerala. The reserve covers an area of 925 square kilometers and is one of the 27 tiger reserves of India. Also in the reserve are jealously protected rare and endangered species of flora and fauna.
The reserve is one of the most popular and visited by tourists, which negatively affects the Indian tigers. The fact is that temporary residents overconsume firewood and other resources, waste remains after them, and there is a strong increase in traffic, which threatens the lives of tigers of this species.
Locals hosting tourists are watching the vulnerable parts of the reserve. You can join them if you wish, and together with them participate in the preservation of the forest and public welfare.
