Varkala Beach

Varkala is snow-white serene beaches, as well as yoga and massage courses and Ayurvedic treatments. There are hotels of different classes, restaurants specializing mainly in seafood, travel agencies, shops, souvenir shops and so on.

Varkala Beach is divided into southern and northern shores with different infrastructure. On the southern shore is a quiet fishing village with several hotels on the slopes. Swimming in the local waters, you need to be careful not to swim beyond the rescue flags - near the shore there are quite strong currents that can carry floaters into the open sea.

Varkala can be reached by bus or rickshaw.

The beginning of the beach season is October, in February it is quite hot, and in September there are showers and severe storms.
