Aqaba Marine Park

Marine Park is one of the most important attractions of Aqaba. It was established in 1997 to protect and preserve the biodiversity of the coastal zone of the city. The park stretches for 7 kilometers along the southern coast, most of its territory is a protected area. Together with the University of Aqaba, a large-scale program has been organized here to preserve rare and endangered species of underwater flora, fauna and their habitats, including coral reefs.

In the area, open to the public, there is a guest center, including a comfortable hotel, a cozy restaurant, informative exhibitions in defense of the local ecology and a unique museum of marine shells collected from around the world. Five beaches of the Marine Park are recognized as the best in Aqaba. Their shredded white sand, turquoise water and well-designed infrastructure are ideal for a family holiday. Here you can go surfing and diving under the guidance of experienced instructors.
