Baghdad museum
Baghdadi Museum, Shuhada Bridge, Baghdad, Iraq
About the company:
The Baghdad Museum is a truly unique collection of values that tell about the fate of the Iraqi people over its centuries-old history. The museum is located in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, on the banks of the Tigris River.
Founded in 1970, the Baghdad Museum has become an important cultural event in Iraq. There is a rich collection of historical documents, household items, monuments of literature and art, which give a detailed picture of the history of the Iraqi people. One of the gems of the museum is a collection of wax figures made by Baghdad sculptors.
During the Iraq-US war, the Baghdad Museum was badly destroyed, but most of the collection was miraculously preserved. In 2008, the museum reopened, and recently a restaurant and market were built nearby, which only increased the appeal of the museum.
