National Museum of Iraq
About the company:
The National Museum of Iraq is one of the few museums in the world that was created by a woman, or to be more precise - a traveler, archaeologist, intelligence officer Gertrude Bill.
All her finds and artifacts, the founder transferred to the museum, which, in her opinion, will help local residents to get reliable information about their origin and the history of the nation.
The treasures of the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia are presented in more than 20 galleries of the museum. Unique gold objects from the Treasury of Nimrod were also presented here. Each year, the museum was replenished with truly priceless relics, as a result of which it was subjected to a major robbery during the Gulf War.
Then most of the collections were stolen, even the most experienced appraisers could not assess the damage, because the relics belonging to the museum were priceless. Over the next five years, Interpol and the FBI searched for the lost relics, and their operations were highly successful, as more than 1,000 ancient artifacts were returned to the museum, which can be seen again by everyone.
