Sulaymaniyah Airport
Description:
Sulaymaniyah Airport is an international airport in eastern Iraq (Kurdistan) serving the city of Sulaymaniyah. He is one of the youngest in the country and the Middle East. Construction of the airport began in November 2003, and was opened for transportation on July 20, 2005.
The airport has one artificial runway made of armoconcrete. Its length is 3500 meters, width is 45 meters.
Sulaymaniyah has three terminals: arrival, departure and VIP. They are designed to serve 1.5 million passengers per year. It is possible to increase passenger traffic to 3 million.
