Dunmanus Castle
Description:
Dunmanus Castle is the largest and best preserved castle on the Misen Peninsula in Ireland.
This castle was built approximately in 1430 and was used as a defensive tower and food storage.
The castle consists of two towers connected by complex transitions. One tower contains three floors and the other five.
In each interior of the castle there are vaulted ceilings. There is also a deep dungeon through which a secret passage beyond the castle is laid.
