Cair Castles and Rock of Cashel

Description:

Rock of Cashel is the ancient residence of the kings of the province of Munster, built long before the Norman invasion.

It is famous for the fact that St. Patrick first baptized the king of this province here, and with this there are many legends and parables that you will learn on the spot.

During the visit of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, this place was included in the list of her visits to the country.

Rock of Cashel is also known for filming scenes from the movie Excalibur about King Arthur, his magic sword and the Knights of the Round Table.

During this trip, the second place to visit will be Cair Castle. It's a castle right off the pages of a medieval history book. The feeling is that knights are about to appear from the gates of the castle or archers flash on the fortress walls.

Three non-Irish films have been filmed at Cair Castle. This film is about the legendary sword of King Arthur, the film “Barry Lyndon”, where the castle “played” the role of a German military camp and the film “Danish darkness”.

I am sure that what you will see will always be with you as the best memory of Ireland.
