New Year

Description:

The most important thing is to have as much light as possible!
New Year’s Eve is celebrated from noon on December 31, and the most important thing is that there is as much lighting as possible.

Icelanders burn fires, sing and dance near them. Here and there flashed dressed “trolls” and “elves”. The closer to midnight, the hotter the festivities.

Fireworks are fired everywhere. There are so many of them and they are so bright that in 2005, even all children aged 10 to 15 were given an unusual gift from public associations: special glasses to protect their eyes from the sparks of fireworks.
