Iceland in a day, or travel tips from Icelanders

Description:

On a world map or globe, Iceland looks tiny.
If you take a smaller globe:- But when you finally come to our country and find yourself on a lava field or a glacier, you understand the immensity and uniqueness of Iceland, symbolized by two elements - ice and fire.

There are so many beautiful places that you can not see “all the most” and you can travel endlessly through the deserted fjords of the northwest or the endless lava expanses of the highlands.

You can come to Iceland at any time of the year and have a great time, but you need to understand what you want to see and what your travel and preparation experience is. The Icelandic winter is mild on average around 0 Celsius, especially on the coast of the island. And summer is not hot, on average +17 Celsius, there are no prolonged rains. But comfort is not determined by temperature, but by the wind, which can occur anywhere, at any time.

The peak of the Icelandic tourist season falls on July-August only because it is a traditional vacation time in Europe, and not because of the incorrect translation by the Runet of the English phrase “Iceland is more visited in July-August” into the Russian “best time to visit Iceland July-August”.

There are discounts from September to May. Long autumn fascinates with its colors and mostly windless weather. Winter in Iceland is mild. In these seasons you can admire the northern lights. It is useful to know that due to the many people who want to come to a country with a limited number of hotels in July-August, prices double.

Do not try to follow the example of others, you will feel freer and plan your trip more economically.
