Petra Mineral Museum
About the company:
Petra’s house in Stödwarfjordur has been home to her collection of minerals since 1946. Petra began collecting minerals as a child. Fortunately, this area is very rich in them, some stones from the collection of Petra 10 thousand years. Year after year, she added new stones to her museum, and now all these lovingly collected minerals can be seen in Stödwarfjordur.
The minerals collected by Petra constitute one of the most magnificent and largest private collections in the world.
The Petra Museum is visited annually by about 20,000 tourists, and Petra herself does not live in her house for a long time, but comes here once a week to communicate with visitors.
