Ice Lagoon

If you saw a photo of icebergs in the magazine, it is most likely Yeokulsaurloun. The life of the lagoon can be watched for hours. New icebergs of bizarre shapes break away from the glacier and fill the lake. They drift along the coast in winter, and in summer melt, and they are carried away into the sea. Each iceberg is unique and has its own color: white, green, blue or even black. Such a specific color gives the ice volcanic ash.

During high tide, fish enter the lake: salmon and trout, herring and capelin. And the birds of this place eat. In the lagoon live large seamen, gagas, often on a black sandy beach or in the bay of the glacier you can see seals.

From May to September, you can travel between icebergs by boat and admire the natural sculptures and blue-green color of the ice. There is also a fireworks show every year.

The lagoon is also world famous due to the fact that there were shooting blockbuster films: films about James Bond and Lara Croft.
