Dali Theatre Museum
Description:
Don Salvador is always on stage. This is how Dali wrote about himself in his diary. Therefore, when the mayor of Figueres in 1960 offered the already famous Dali to donate one of his works to the city, Dali decided to donate a museum and not just a museum, but a theater-museum. Moreover, he chose the place not by chance, but a burned-out theater, where, as a teenager, he exhibited one of his first paintings.
And 14 years later, on September 28, 1974, the Theatre Museum was opened and today it is one of the most visited museums in Spain.
They say it’s better to see once, but “don’t try to understand, don’t look for meaning, it will confuse you anyway,” said a close friend.
Get acquainted with the largest surreal creation, listen to the biography, interesting facts from the life of Dali, learn secrets that are not spoken about in the ear, see paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, spectroscopic paintings, a collection of jewelry made according to his sketches, and then decide who is still Salvador Dali: crazy or genius.
