Carrer Nou de la Rambla, 3-5, 08001 Barcelona, Spain
Description:
The Manor of Güell, built between 1884 and 1887, is considered a unique masterpiece of one of the most famous architects - Antoni Gaudí.
The estate, which was the country residence of Count Güell, consists of a one-storey residential building, a covered arena and stables. Externally, it resembles a building of the Moorish period. With its beauty, the estate begins to amaze from the most entrance gates, whose height is 5 meters. They are made of wrought iron and are known as “dragon gates” due to the motif of decor.
The roofs of manor buildings are crowned with baths and lanterns. Decorative tiles of facades contrast well with windows decorated with clinker brick. Today, it houses an institution that now receives permission to inspect the monuments of Master Gaudí.
